Koike attends new S. Korean ambassador’s welcome reception
Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Koike Akira on November 14 attended a reception held in Tokyo to welcome new South Korean Ambassador to Japan Lee Su-hoon.
The host for the welcome party included the Japan-South Korea parliamentarians’ league.
Koike conveyed a message from JCP Chair Shii Kazuo to the ambassador and said, “I feel very encouraged by the South Korean government’s stance to seek a solution of the North Korea issue through dialogue.”
From the JCP, in addition to Koike, JCP Policy Commission Chair Kasai Akira and JCP Upper House member Inoue Satoshi attended the reception.
Ichida attends reception for outgoing Iranian ambassador
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ichida Tadayoshi on November 16 attended a farewell reception for Iranian Ambassador to Japan Reza Nazarahari at the ambassador’s official residence in Tokyo.
Ichida extended greetings to the ambassador and expressed his sympathy for the latest massive earthquake that hit western Iran on November 12.
