Shii sends telegram of condolence over death of ex-Chinese leader

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on December 1 sent a telegram of condolence to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China over the death of former CPC General Secretary Jiang Zemin (president of China).

Shii in the telegram extended his condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family, the CPC, and the people of China.

Shii stated that he remembered the former CPC head’s efforts in bringing about the normalization of JCP-CPC relations in 1998, and added that he hopes for a future development in friendship and cooperation between the Chinese and Japanese governments and peoples.
