Kokuta criticizes gov’t for merely following US

Japanese Communist Party representative Kakuta Keiji pointed out that Japan is condemning Iran, in regard to the chain of retaliatory attacks between Israel and Iran, only because it wants to be in line with the United States.

Kokuta said this on April 24 at a meeting of the Lower House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

He also noted that more than 300 corpses were found in the grounds of a hospital in southern Gaza from which Israeli troops had withdrawn. He urged the government to demand that Israel immediately stop its genocidal acts.
