Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Tanaka Yu received a visit from a Communist Party of Vietnam delegation headed by Tran Van Ron, standing deputy chairperson of the Inspection Commission of the CPV Central Committee, at the JCP head office on July 3.
Tanaka said that the relationship between the two parties has grown as seen in their cooperation for the abolition of nuclear weapons and the JCP-CPV theoretical exchanges. He expressed his pleasure to see this positive relationship contributing to the development of relations between Japan and Vietnam. The CPV delegation head, Tran Van Ron, also spoke highly of the growing CPV-JCP relationship.
They shared their experiences in their respective party-building efforts. Tanaka explained the JCP role in the process of moving toward a revolution through winning a majority consensus among the general public. He also explained that all JCP members discuss draft resolutions to be presented to the JCP Congress beforehand, and that they are to implement what are decided on at the Congress. He said that the JCP does not receive political party subsidies funded by tax revenues and that the party handles its finances by party dues, donations from individual citizens, subscription fees for Akahata, and sales of publications.
At the talks, Nguyen Long Hai (secretary of the CPV Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc) and Tagawa Minoru (JCP International Commission secretary general) were present.
