Set up special desk to consolidate advice from atomic experts: JCP
|
Japanese Communist Party House of Representatives member Yoshii Hidekatsu at the House Economy, Trade and Industry Committee meeting on April 6 urged the government to set up a special desk to receive advice and reports from researchers and engineers specialized in nuclear-related subjects which may help Japan to more effectively deal with the ongoing nuclear crisis.
In a bid to offer positive proposals towards a breakthrough in the solution to the nuclear crisis, Yoshii cited the discontent being expressed by researchers and engineers stating that they find it difficult to make any proposals to the government due to the lack of access to a relevant office in the government.
He said, “The government should mobilize all available expertise in Japan with a view to overcoming the crisis by establishing a special desk.”
Chief Cabinet Secretary Edano Yukio answered, “Yes, it is important to collect all the opinions of various experts. We will consider your proposal.”
