Ogata meets with Spanish embassy’s first secretary

Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on January 19 received Fernando Alonso Navaridas, the first secretary of the Spanish Embassy at the JCP head office in Tokyo.

In response to Alonso’s questions, Ogata briefed him on the current Japanese political and economic situation. He also heard from Alonso about the political and economic situation in Spain and the results of Spain’s general election held last November.


Ogata attends Tet reception

JCP Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on January 20 attended a reception hosted by the Vietnamese ambassador to celebrate Tet, the Vietnamese New Year.

Ogata congratulated newly-appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung on Vietnam’s Lunar New Year and had pleasant talks with various foreign as well as Japanese guests.
