Shii talks with CPN secretary general
Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on January 31 had a talk with Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) Secretary General Ishwar Pokharel in the Diet building.
During the talk, Shii referred to his meeting with former Nepalese Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal in October 2012. The chair said that he is pleased that the JCP and CPN have exchanged opinions on various issues such as abolition of nuclear weapons and global warming through taking opportunities to meet at conferences such as the ICAPP.
Pokharel expressed his hope that both parties will continue to promote friendly relations, and talked about Nepal’s political circumstances in which the people are working to establish a constitution as well as peace.
Replying to Pokharel’s questions, Shii described Japan’s political situation. JCP Vice-Chair Ogata Yasuo also attended the talk.
Ogata talks with CPC delegation
Japanese Communist Party Vice-Chair Ogata Yasuo on January 30 had a dinner meeting in Tokyo with Zhao Shitong, Deputy Director-General of No.2 Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party International Department.
They exchanged views on the relations between the two nations, the two parties, and the situation in Asia.
