JCP-CPV theoretical exchange meeting ends

The theoretical exchange meeting between the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), held at the JCP head office in Tokyo, completed its two-day discussions on December 17.

JCP delegation head Fuwa Tetsuzo, the director of the JCP Social Sciences Institute, talked about challenges to be faced in a transition period from capitalism to socialism, as well as some goals to be achieved in a socialist society.

Responding to questions from the CPV delegation, Fuwa referred to Japan’s excessive subordination to the United States, the present state of Japan’s “ruleless” capitalism, and the JCP’s reform policies.

Vu Van Hien, the Vice Chair of the CPV Theory Council, talked about the CPV’s view on the present-day world and how they are working to build a socialistic society in Vietnam.

The two delegations confirmed that the meeting bore fruit by exchanging views on various issues that they share.
