More mothers cut short their parental leave

More mothers have to cut short their child-rearing leave in order to have their children enroll in authorized day nurseries, shown in a survey result that the Welfare Ministry has recently released.
According to the survey, 4.1% of the respondents said their children had to enter authorized day care centers earlier than they had hoped to. Of them, 50.9% said that they needed to cut short their parental leave because of the fear that it would become much harder to gain admission for their babies. The rate increased by 13.3 percentage points from the previous survey three years ago.
