Woman US Marine corporal arrested for drunk driving

Okinawa’s Naha Police on July 11 arrested a woman U.S. marine of the U.S. Marine Corps Futenma Air Station in the act of driving a car under the influence of alcohol and running into a police car.

The police announced that 21-year-old U.S. Marine Corporal Heidi Ayala at around six a.m. on that day hit a police car at an intersection in Naha City while driving under the influence and then fled from the scene.

Her three fellow passengers said to police that they did not know that she was drunk.
