Ogata meets with Cuban ambassador

Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo met with Cuban Ambassador to Japan Jose Agustin Fernandez de Cossio at the JCP head office on February 15.

Cossio explained how the Cuban National Assembly election was held in January and how the nationwide discussion has been organized around the present economic and social problems in Cuba and ways to resolve them.

Ogata explained the current Japanese political situation.

They also exchanged views concerning political, social, and economic reforms now underway in Latin America.

They agreed to keep each other informed in order to strengthen relations between the Communist Party of Cuba and the JCP.
