A 23-year-old female U.S. marine was arrested by the Uruma Police in Okinawa on suspicion of a hit-and-run, Akahata learned on September 5.

At around 6 p.m. on September 4, U.S. Marine Corporal Javvi Avila, who serves at U.S. Camp Foster in the prefecture, drove her car into a parked car on a public road in Uruma City.
