Japanese Communist Party Social Sciences Institute director Fuwa Tetsuzo on August 4 met with a delegation of the Communist Party of China International Department at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
The CPC International Department delegation to Japan aims to analyze the House of Councilors election result and the present situation in Japan by interviewing various people.
Fuwa talked about the meaning of the change in government last year, the wavering attitude of the government since then, the election result, public opinion and moves to seek a new direction in politics, a broad view of the political situation and anti-communist campaigns since the 1970s.
Fuwa asserted that whoever comes to power, progressive change is impossible if Japan’s subordinacy to the United States and “capitalism without rules” are left untouched.
