A round-table meeting between the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and the JCP took place to exchange views on a selective dual surname system and on reforms of police interrogations.
Representatives of Hiroshima A-bomb survivors and antinuke groups visited the Hiroshima City government to lodge a protest against the city’s intent to invite an Israeli official to the August 6 A-Bomb Day ceremony hosted by the city.
