JCP lawmaker Yamazoe criticized PM Ishiba for accepting U.S. President Trump’s arrogant policies which are in violation of international law and for committing to the strengthening of military cooperation with the United States.
JCP EC Chair Tamura demanded that the draft national budget for fiscal 2025 be fundamentally recompiled since it does not pay sufficient attention to improving people’s livelihoods and centers on huge military spending and pork-barrel spending to improve big business interests.
JCP CC Chair Shii on X said, “The JCP encourages the international community to make every effort to pave the way for peace negotiations with the aim of ending the bloodshed in Ukraine” and will “follow the development closely” of negotiations for a ceasefire.
