Akahata on April 4 ran an interview with Mikuni Hidemi, a professor emeritus of Hiroshima University regarding the controversial plan to transfer Tokyo’s fish market from Tsukiji to a soil-polluted location in Toyosu.
Prime Minister Kan Naoto stated he will reconsider the plan to build 14 or more new nuclear reactors in response to requests from JCP Chair Shii Kazuo calling for a cancellation of the plan.
The JCP has, since the earthquake occurred, made a set of requests and suggestions to the government on several occasions. In line with them, the JCP on March 31 handed over its proposal to Prime Minister Kan Naoto.
