Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Koike Akira in his comment on the Abe-Trump summit said “It has again become clear that Trump will pressure Japan to make generous concessions, including the removal of agricultural tariffs.”
Despite its role as the sole public broadcaster in Japan, NHK effectively gave a hand to help Abe show to the public how close he is to Trump in an effort to attract Japanese voters in the House of Councilors election.
The Japanese Communist Party and other pro-constitutional parties reached an agreement on the nomination of unified opposition candidates in eleven constituencies so far among 32 single-seat constituencies in the Upper House election.
