A U.S. Air Force civilian employee was arrested on May 26 for causing the death of an Okinawan man in a car accident in Chatan Town in Okinawa.

According to Okinawa Police, Nicholas Christenson collided with a motorcycle as he tried to turn right at a national road intersection, killing the 39-year-old motorcyclist. The suspect admitted to the charge, saying that he thought he could make the turn in time ahead of the motorcycle.
