Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide on January 13 announced that the government will halt entries of business visitors from 11 countries with which Japan makes reciprocal agreements as a frontline measure to fight the coronavirus pandemic during the state of emergency.
The Japanese Communist Party has demanded that entry from all countries into Japan be suspended.
