Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on December 19 met with members of the Communist Party of China Research Office at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
Zhou Yuyun, International Department of Central Committee of CPC Research Office Deputy Director-General, said that they are conducting research on U.S. diplomacy towards Asia, the international financial and economic crisis, and relations between China and its surrounding countries.
Ogata, answering their questions on JCP policies and activities, expressed his hope for the further development of JCP-CPC relations in various areas.
Both sides exchanged opinions in regard to the situation in northeast Asia.
