Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on February 18 met with Luxembourg Ambassador to Japan Paul Steinmetz Dear at the Luxembourg Embassy in Tokyo.

Ogata thanked the ambassador for having come to the JCP 25th Congress to sit in on the 1st-day session last month and expressed views on the JCP campaign towards the next Upper House election and JCP activities in regard to foreign relations.

They also talked about the history, politics, economy, and culture of Luxembourg as well as the Japanese political situation and the situation in Asia.
