US Ospreys yet again forced to make emergency landings at civilian airport in Kagoshima
|
Two U.S. Air Force CV-22 Ospreys on June 4 made emergency landings at a civilian airport on Amami-Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Reportedly, one of the two aircraft, apparently stationed at the U.S. Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, had some kind of problem.
At the Amami Airport, a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey landed due to an emergency on June 11 last year and on April 25 this year. The former aircraft crashed in August last year in Australia.
