The International Women's Day in Japan reached a significant milestone on March 8, a hundred years after Japanese women's first action.
In place of Japanese companies, the South Korean government will shoulder the compensation payments. The former Korean laborers, however, claim that only after the Japanese government and the companies concerned offer apologies can their honor and dignity be restored.
