The Japanese Communist Party has announced a new proposal to decommission all nuclear power plants in Japan.
At the May 3 Constitution Rally at Hibiya Public Hall, Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo in his speech condemned an attempt in the Diet to use the latest disaster as an opportunity to pave the way for a revision of the Constitution.
The electrical energy industry always maneuvers to penetrate the political arena by lavishing donations dubbed “nuclear power plant money”. According to the 1994 fund report of the Global Legislators Organization for a Balanced Environment (GLOBE) Japan, it received two million yen in donations from TEPCO, accounting for one third of its net revenue for that year.
